Collins and Company, Inc., offers adjusting and investigation of all types of losses. In the area of property adjusting both commercial and residential losses are easily adjusted. Our adjusters have handled single losses ranging from no claim to over $20,000,000 in property damages within the past year. Each of our property adjusters is capable of preparing their own appraisal of damages to ensure accuracy. We have also successfully handled matters involving property litigation in arson and fraud cases involving sizable losses. We consider no loss too large, small, or complex.

In the area of casualty and liability investigation, our adjusters strive to quickly determine liability and reach settlements. This results in fewer open files for our clients. Also cases settled quickly are generally on a more economical basis. We are also experienced in the investigation of complex losses to determine liability. In the past year, we have investigated liability losses with exposures of over $50,000,000 on single cases.

Our offices also provided 24-hour response to accidents scenes. Each office phone is answered 24 hours a day to allow us to immediately reach the scene of any accident. From the early states of our growth, after hours service and response has played a great part in our business.

Our experience is also in the area of product liability investigations. We have been privileged over the years to represent over 20 major vehicle manufacturers in the investigation of product liability cases. We have also worked many cases involving industrial equipment products. Many of these cases have been prepared in conjunction with defense counsel.

In today's litigation conscious society, premises liability claims are becoming more prevalent. Our adjusters pride themselves in knowing the prevailing laws and exposures necessary to properly investigate and evaluate these claims.

Workers compensation losses are also rapidly increasing in number and complexity. Our offices have worker compensation specialists who are familiar with the rapidly changing rules and rates. We are able to handle simple investigation assignments or full assignments in this area. Our compensation adjusters are familiar with all required state filings. In addition to full and complete management we are also available on a consultation basis to examine programs to improve efficiency and control costs. Our services are tailored to each client individually to provide exactly what each requires.

Catastrophe services:

Collins and Company, Inc., has been involved in many different catastrophic loss situations over the years. Our staff maintains a team of 20 or more adjusters ready to respond immediately to any disaster. In recent years, we have handled thousands of losses during hurricanes Hugo and Andrew. We have also responded in situations involving flood, windstorm, hail, and snow. We have been called upon to handle catastrophic casualty claims in areas of chemical spills, train wrecks and bus accidents.

We are happy to provide rate quotes depending on requirements and volume. These services are available within 24 hours notice anywhere in the continental united states. We also offer worldwide services by special arrangement at an additional rate. Each of our catastrophe adjusters is a specialist employed by our company and not simply a team of "storm troopers".

Safety services:

Our safety department began as a natural evolution from claims handling to claims prevention. We currently provide a full range of services required by federal law and regulations as well.

Department of transportation regulations are quite complex. Often companies cannot afford employing an in-house specialist to monitor compliance and to complete required training. We offer individual services to complete compliance requirements as well as full management of a client's program.

OSHA regulations also provide a challenge to many businesses. Our safety specialists offer most any required training or services necessary for any business to operate within these guidelines. We also monitor the constantly changing regulations to ensure that our clients stay up to date.

Loss control and prevention services are also offered. We believe that through the careful evaluation of past and present losses and through a detailed analysis of the work environment, we can arrange a program that can successfully reduce claims and losses. With our years of experience handling claims and losses of all types, we are able to recognize problems that will result in potential future losses.
